Booking fees

Introductory booking fee: £6

Your booking fee gets your childcare search started and is paid when you submit your request.

If we're unable to find a suitable childcare provider, we'll refund your booking fee in full.

Babysitting rates

Standard babysitting: £15 per hour

Our standard rate applies to straightforward babysitting and ad-hoc childcare.

For childcare requiring specialist skills or experience, we'll discuss your family's requirements with you and confirm the applicable rate before you book.

Your childcare provider receives 100% of their agreed hourly rate. Borrow A Village doesn't deduct commission from their pay..

Key information

- Two-hour minimum booking

- You'll know your childcare provider's hourly rate before you confirm

- Paying the £6 booking fee doesn't commit you to accepting a match

- If we can't find a suitable provider, your £6 booking fee is refunded

- Availability isn't guaranteed, but we'll do our best to find a suitable provider from our local network

- Some specialist, regular, wedding or event childcare may be priced differently

- Your childcare provider receives 100% of their hourly childcare rate

Easy, cash-free payment

Once your childcare session is complete, the hours worked will be confirmed and we'll securely process your childcare payment.

No cash, bank transfers or wondering what you owe - we'll take care of it.
